A320 RTOW chart clarification

Sat Jan 20, 2018 6:14 am

Hi folks,

I have a question about the RTOW chart for A320 when calculating the V-speeds. As per the Airbus manual, when calculating the v-speeds, you have the corrections to make when the air condition is either on or off (Air on / Air Off). My question is this, is the "Air off" on the RTOW charts suppose to be when you have Packs 1 and 2 off and vice versa? :scratchchin:

In my mind air on and air off is if you are using engine bleeds to run the packs

If I get performance numbers which say packs off. The apu stays running to run the packs and the engine bleeds are off.

Yes packs off takeoff, bleed stays on as you might still need anti-ice when packs off.
