777 cabin wall retrofit

Sat Feb 02, 2019 5:32 pm

Would it be possibly to retrofit existing 777s with the thinner cabin walls of the 777X? Or is there something in the structure which prevents this?

It would allow airlines to standardise their 777 and 777X fleet in terms of 10-abreast seating etc.

Thanks,

Elshad

Public knowledge is that the frames have been reshaped around the window belt.
No idea what kind of "fringe" changes complement the change to the frames.

IMU rather out of the question to retrofit that to older frames.
