So what is Boeing Fix in regards to the 737 MAX?

Fri Mar 15, 2019 10:11 pm

Sorry to start a new thread, but I can't seem to find on the long threads what Boeing is fixing in regards to the 737 MAX.

So what exactly is Boeing fixing in their software?

Anyone has any insights?

The summary description is about halfway down in this article. I won’t post anything that isn’t publically reported.

Boeing will do whatever is necessary to make the MAX a safe and reliable aircraft. Simply to much at stake to do otherwise, and contrary to some posters on ANET they remain a world leader in aviation safety and inovasion. The final reports are not even in, so lets wait and see just what and why the two accidents happened before we jump the gun.

I read somewhere Boeing had wanted to limit the times MCAS trims and the maximum nose down deflection or similar, while the FAA requested more features like some crosscheck against malfunctioning probes on top. This is said to be one of the reasons why things take a little longer aside from the past government shutdown.
