who controls/updates Flight Tracker?

Sun Aug 04, 2019 5:48 pm

I was on a Delta flight the other day, CVG-TPA, but Flight Tracker on the IFE reflected MSP-CVG, which was apparently the last flight the day prior. Who sets/resets that system to reflect the flight it's actually on?

To clarify, the map showed the plane clearly headed toward TPA, but the mileage readings were completely bogus, the closer we got to TPA, the HIGHER the mileage to our "destination" which was really our point of origin. I mentioned it to the cabin crew when deplaning and the FA said something along the lines that nobody reset it. For some reason I thought it was automated.
