Hi everyone,
I was just looking at JL and NH’s networks out of the respective Tokyo airports and was wondering if anyone had any insight into how their crew are based there.
Given that both airlines have substantial networks out of both HND and NRT, do they have separate crew bases for each airport? Or do their crew cover flights from both airports.
When looking at other large, multi-airport cities around the world, we can see that different airlines handle things differently.
BA, for example, have completely separate crew bases for LHR and LGW, whilst VS have London based crew who cover both airports.
It would just be interesting to see how two major airlines flying from one of the world’s mega cities manage crew resources.

Both airlines Tokyo Base crew cover HND and NRT, even they fly both domestic and international flight.
