What's the OEW of A330-800 and A330-900?

Wiki states the OEW of A330-800 as 132 t as compared to 120,6 t for A330-200.
I struggle to believe that. Anybody knows more?

Airbus stopped posting the OEM OEW of models in their ACAPS years ago, so it is hard to get an accurate figure. The Trent 7000 engines do weigh more and there was some additional structural weight to support the winglets.

Hi-Fly lists the typical DOWs for their fleet and a 285-seat A330-300 has a typical DOW of 124,000kg and a 290-seat A330-900 has a typical DOW of 133,000kg.

12t seems excessive, I would think maybe 1-2t max.

Let's not forget that the HiFly A330-900 is fitted with 86 more seats, plus feature heavier lie-flat seats. That will add a fair bit of weight. How is the lavatory configuration, did they add underfloor lavs? The neo is definitely heavier, but they also added a bunch of features that improve the earning potential of the aircraft.

According to Wikipedia, the dry weights of the respective engines are as follows:
Trent 700 (A332/A333); 6'160kg
Trent 7000 (A338/A339): 6'445kg

Therefore, the engine upgrade (without housing and attachment) would add only 570kg to the structural weight.

The 371-seat model [ 18J | 353Y ] actually weighs less - 126,000kg average DOW.

Hence why I chose the 290-seat [ 32J | 21W | 237Y ] model with closer seating configurations to the A330-300 at 285 seats [ 30J | 255Y ] - based on the cabin pictures, they appear to have the same Business Class product.

Per one of the Airbus A330neo slides in this Leeham article there is a 2% weight gain compared to ceo. So 3-4 tons maybe??https://leehamnews.com/2014/07/17/airbus-a330-800-and-900neo-first-analysis-part-3-performance/

That's from 2014.

Yes and there certainly has been no news I'm aware of that the neo is overweight, IIRC there were reports Airbus were on target if not doing better.

My apologies.
If engines add a ton or so, nine tons extra seems much. Still not sure what to believe.

Seems the lower DOW A339 while having many more Y seats and far fewer J also has no toilets midcabin and fewer monuments at door 2 also
Their A332 has 122t DOW https://www.hifly.aero/public/uploads/2 ... 9H-HFA.pdf
I wonder if the larger new underfloor crew rest on the neo has an impact, before on the ceo you had the flight crew rest in the main deck behind the flight deck and you had to option an underfloor crew rest in a container or use the bulk cargo hold. IIRC in the neo all crew rest are now in a single underfloor unit. Im not even sure if its removable like the original ceo/A340 ones
