Cruise step climbs A220-300

For my thesis, I am currently reverse-engineering the A220-300. One of the goals is to match the payload range diagram from the Airbus APP, I added in the attachment. I was wondering if for this range diagram the airplane performs an "ideal flight"? I suppose it does so it performs step climbs. Does anyone know what are airbus' requirements of step climbs, and when they ae performed? I know there should be a minimum of 300ft/min climb rate. But each point on the payload range curve has a different fuel/weights configuration, so step climbs are also performed in a different way (altitudes, speeds, timing etc.)
