Evergreen B747-200s disappearance from Pinal Airpark?

Sat Jul 04, 2020 8:39 am

Hey all,

I recently did an A2G photo flight over Pinal Airpark, and realized that the Evergreen B747-200s registered N470EV and N471EV that are frequently seen weren’t there. I did some basic research and found nothing. We were sketched out to have the plane just gone. I will link some photos, but if anyone has any idea or knows anything if they maybe got finished scrapped and everything got taken away please let me know.

This could be my stupidity, if it is please let me know.

My thoughts are N470EV was completely scrapped, but N471EV remains a mystery.

N471EV

thanks all!

Yeah that’s what’s weird, with the amount of people doing helicopter tours over Pinal every month it and the state shutting down in April it seems very odd that no one got it in the process of getting scrapped or and remnants which are usually visible long after it’s mostly scrapped so for both to just disappear with no remnants is just odd to me as well.

A quick search of Airfleets shows N471EV scrapped. Looking at the condition there is no way it was going to fly out of there.

Anyone who's seen the DieHard movies know's what happened to N471EV - Bruce Willis had a fight on the wing and set it on fire. Or was that N474EV? :-)

I believe the plane used in Die Hard 2 was N473EV. That frame was scrapped.
