What is the difference between speed trim system(STS) found in 737NG and the MCAS of 737MAX?

Aren't they both automatic trim-down systems for high AoA situations?

STS as I understand is a low speed function which is on the NG and MAX, MCAS is for high speed like a spiral dive.
