So while doing some research, I came across this list from Boeing which shows all the airports which are approved to handle the 747-8 and would like to know more. So from what I can tell the list is broken between destination airports and airports that can be used as alternates. It also shows whether an airport is approved for freight as well as passengers ops for the -8, but it also has a section called regulatory. What does regulatory mean in this context? Some airports don't have a column for freight or passengers, but others just have the one column for regulatory approval.
So could something like a privately owned 747 land at an airport that is only approved for regulatory stuff? Also, what about airports like Fairbanks which is listed under the alternate airports section? The reason I'm curious, is that I am planning to do some flights in P3D with the -8 simulating a privately owned 747 and wanted to know what airport I could legally land at.
