Even though Pilots shall be aware of FDP with the remaining distance .

There’s a lot of safety measures in the world that works like that. Call it backup, call it fail-safes, call it plain old being careful.

It will not prevent false glideslopes as that is a function of the ground transmitter. The issue is with the first lobe above the normal 3 degree path as that is in the reverse sense.
