Honeywell ALF502R-5 EM/Cross-Section

Mon Oct 18, 2021 4:48 pm

Hello, everyone.

I am very new here and have inquired in the forum about the above engine and could not find anything to my case.

I apologize for my english in advance - i am not a native speaker.

My question is:

Is there any way to get close to the engine manuel (EM) or Cross-Section of an ALF502R-5 engine?

I am a student writing my bachelor thesis on the ALF502 engine. My job is to rebuild the ALF502R-5 engine via 3D CAD (like Siemens NX, SolidWorks etc.), which is precisely the engine, because it was used by NASA for testing purposes at the time.

Keyword: Ice Particle Analysis of the Honeywell ALF502.

However, my job is not to investigate this phenomenon, but to reconstruct the engine, in this case the high-pressure compressor. On the Internet, I can only collect information on how the tests were carried out, but not specific information such as: diameter, length, width. (For example: Impeller, Rotorblades etc.)

I already have an account with honeywell and have access to tech publications, but that’s not always the information I need to rebuild the engine.

If anyone has any tips, I’d be very grateful.

With kind regards,

Thanks a lot for you feedback.

I cannot use the ALF 502L Engine Manual, because ALF502L version has two-stage low-pressure compressor and the ALF502R version has one-stage low-pressure compressor.

But I have a look about the Lycoming ALF502R Turbofan Engine Student Workbook.

Cheers.
