Hello Everyone,
I was doing some academic research on the differences between different JT9D variants, and one thing struck on was how the series evolved a lot through its initial JT9D-3A variants to the final JT9D-7R4H variant. In any case, I was wondering what difference be it in thrust ratings, components, fan blade count etc. these successive versions had over their preceding versions. Also what's with the 747 having two different pylon assemblies for the same engine family with the -7Q/-7R engines having different pylons compared to the earlier -3A to -7F/-7J series?
