SAS A350 LOPA Question

Tue Aug 16, 2022 1:09 pm

Hello all,

I came across a seat map of the SAS A350 seat layout and I see that there are 16 rows of economy and a lavatory between doors 3 and 4. Every other airline with a lavatory in the rear has 15 rows. This leads me to ask how things like this can happen – what causes one airline to be able to slot 16 rows of seats at the same pitch (31") as others who have 15 rows? All carriers use slimline seats at this point, so I'm surprised that more carriers don't follow SAS. Why would this be? Are there other known examples of this?
