Virgin Atlantic announced new service from TPA-LHR VS 130 beginning on November 3rd. I looked last night and there is a flight VS 130 available for sale on November 2nd. I booked the ticket because I wanted to be on the inaugural flight. Seeing this now makes me wonder if my flight on the 3rd will be just that or if it will now be the 2nd.
The website still says that service begins on the 3rd. The inbound flight on the 2nd leaves much earlier than normal and has all premium cabins blocked, but it shows open availability for the same day TPA-LHR return. So the plane will be on the ground for 4 hours more than normally scheduled.
Could this be a positioning flight to bring crew and other things for the inaugural celebration at the airport the next day?

I read somewhere they are using A330-900's. We'll see...
