In my airlines 777 AMM for Emergency Power Assist System (EPAS) Deactivation, there is a note that states the following:
NOTE: You open the circuit breaker so the door armed alert horn will not make a sound when you turn the interior handle.
I've already verified in our schematics/wiring prints that our aircraft have no such "Door Armed Alert Horn". My question is has anyone ever heard of this device? Perhaps it is an option on 777s that we just didn't take (And the note is a stray note).

In my maintenance experience on the Triple, I've never seen or heard of this, until, today.

Same. We also have this note in our AMM but no other mention of any horn in ATA 25 or 52. Neither in the AMM nor the SDS or SSM. I found it only once under the DOOR-MOUNTED ESCAPE SLIDE PACK - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION task.
