BA57 - Strange Routing

I just came across this routing for BA57/27Mar - LHR-JNB - It is strange, as the other two LHR flights alongside it currently, flew direct. It looks like it may have been avoiding France Airspace, but that doesn't explain why the other two didn't.

Is there perhaps a strike, power failure or technical issue happening with French ATC ? Or some other temporary event that makes French airspace unavailable for a short period of time ?

Just noticed BA59, went around the airspace along Germany, but strange that BA83 didn't.

Probably French ATC strikes limiting, but not stopping service.

Exactly. Air traffic flow over France was limited. I recently noticed a TAP A321 heading to BRU went straight up the Atlantic out of LIS then headed east all along the UK south coast into Belgium.

Yup. Avoiding French ATC due to industrial action. I flew to Rome on the 15/3 out of LHR and we went Belgium then down through Germany to avoid France.
