"Respected Users" Aren't You All?

Sun Oct 01, 2000 9:46 pm

I've only just realized there's a "respected users" addition to the User Profile. I placed a couple of names in mine so as to get rid of the "none" label. Please rest assured that I have the greatest of respect for most of the regular contributors to this and the main forum. Perhaps it is a little unfair that our Great Administrator has allocated only 10 names per person(!)

Overall, I'm not so sure it's a good idea...

Best Regards,

Buff

Beats the heck out of me why my post showed up in bold. Guess my character is starting to stick out...

Hello Buff,

That "Respected users" feature is not fully operational yet. Its reason for existence will be made clear in the future.

Posts that you are the author of will come up in bold so that they will be easier to spot. It does not show up bold for other users.

Regards,
Johan

And I've only left my list blank because I'd forget someone.

on the non aviation forum that feature caused little fights between the kids, everyone wants to be the most respected but.......respected by people you don't know?

Aw, what the heck - I've decided to join in.

If a "Least Respected Users" option appears, you won't see me for dust!

David L thanks for adding me. I would like to respect people but right now it seems like people are going around saying 'If I add you will you add me' like we used to do for out birthday party when we where 3!

Humility Elevates!

Hi Buff, Buzz here. I occasionally look at the questions on my nights off, and a few names have my respect already. I didn't look for the profile block that shows "Respected Users". But a handful of names sure know what they're talking about. They've earned my respect.
