Has anybody had the pleasure of working on Aeronca Sheetmetal Fan Cowls? WN was changing their composite cowls over to the sheetmetal cowls prior to 9/11.
In my opinion, they are poorly designed, getting parts is a nightmare, and their engineering dept is a joke. So has anyone else encoutered these similar problems??

Never had the pleasure of working on the fan cowls, but the thrust reversers they made for the 35 series Lears were atrocious to say the least. They were pneumatically actuated and frequently did not deploy together when actuated after landing. Getting parts was difficult as well. Most of them on 35 series Lears now have been deactivated and locked out.
