Hi guys and gals,
Am doing some research and looking specifically for aircraft written off or inflight incidents due specifically to the rupture of oxygen tanks (either being carried as cargo or as onboard equipment etc) I would appreciate some pointers to such incidents ( if you guys are aware of any). I did some searches on the web but am hoping for some local knowledge or pointers from the members.

The only ones that come immediately to mind are the Valujet 592 accident back in the 1990s (improperly labeled/shipped oxygen generators) with an in-flight fire and subsequent crash, and a more obscure one, a Delta 727-200 that burned up on the gate in SLC back in the 1980s due to (IIRC) an oxygen leak. There was also an ATA DC-10-30 that burned up while on the remote stand at ORD, after a seat was being worked on and the oxygen generator was triggered. That one was also in the 1980s...

Think I remember a P-51 burning to the ground after an accident while servicing the O2 tank. Might have been N2251D?

I don't know if you'll find any, but look up incidents with air ambulances. We have to have a fire truck standing by when we refuel with a patient on board becuase of the bad little thing that happens when O2 and Petroleum products mix. I think this rule was put in place becuase of past experience but I can't recall any specific incidents.
You may have to wade through a ton of stuff on the NTSB site if you include part 135 operations in your search but may come up with some good stuff.

Thank you all for your input. I am interested in dangers in Trauma evacuation situations with O2 tanks in aircraft...hence my search. thanks Pilotpip for the tip on NTSB.
