Mcdp Remote Tester

Sun Jan 28, 2007 11:36 pm

Hello:

I'm going to work for a company doing on call maintenence for people. Some of the airline fly 757/767 so we will be doing inbounds and troubleshooting. I would like to get my hand on the plans to make a MCDP Remote for doing tests on the autopilots on the 757/767. I have heard there are plans out on the web to make one from switches from Radio Shack and a cannon plug for the interface connection.

SWo if anyone know or has seen the web site that has the plans please email me.

Thank You
David

PS. my email is my screen name plus msn (dot) com

You cn do the test from the MCDP box in the E&E compartment.it is just a pain the ass because you need someone in the cockpit to monitor stuff turn thingds o and turn things off etc. Some 757/767 has a remote panel on the P-61 panel which is cool you don't have to hook up the remote box.The company should supply a remote box.I am not sure of any plans to built the remote box but it look simple to built.

David,

there seem to be some instructions in the AMM somewhere.
Let me see what I can dig up this night as I'm off to work to do the graveyard shift for the next 3 nights  Smile

If the company you work for has a MyBoeingFleet.com account you can get the specs for it from there. The tool number is A22001-22.

Thanks for the info. The company I'm going to work for is out of a closet and there is only 1 mechanic a night working, this is the reason I need the remote and will not do it from the E&E. Was thinking about borrowing the one from my other employer but they get a little pissed about stuff like thaat.
