DC3 Type Rating

Thu Dec 23, 2010 3:26 am

I know a few organisations exist that offer the Dak endorsement, however after much research, I still can't find any.

I am seeking something in Australia or New Zealand if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Not exactly close to you, but here is a place in Atlanta, Georgia that offers what you are looking for.

DC-3...nice airplane to fly, except...the pilot seats are a bit uncomfortable for longer periods.
And, during training, be sure 'rudder lock' is demonstrated, as this is one item on a DC-3 that can kill you dead.

Ah Dan Gryder, the infamous DL 777 pilot. Wonder how he made out after his incident.

I've been wondering the same for months now..
