CO HKG-SIN Where Do The Aircraft Come From?

Sun May 01, 2011 1:35 am

Since CO will fly HKG-SGN/SIN where will the aircraft for SIN come from? The aircraft for SGN does GUM-NRT (CO006) NRT-HKG (CO009) HKG-SGN (CO009) (NO TRAFFIC RIGHTS BETWEEN NRT-SNG) and vise versa, but were does the SIN aircraft come from? Is it the same aircraft that does GUM-HKG?????

CO not only operates GUM-HKG but also does maintenance on aircraft there. Should be no problem to slip planes in and out of HKG.

Additionally there will also be a HKG-NRT flight on a 737, and CO has a NRT-GUM flight which that can tie into.

Yes but where will the pilots and crew come from? I doubt they would send a crew from guam to narita then hong kong just do do a short run to singapore...

Can can surely build several day patterns. All the 737 crews will be GUM based, so could do GUM-HKG day one, HKG-SIN day two, rest in SIN, then SIN-HKG back day 4 etc.
Also once the NRT-HKG flight hits the schedule, for instance can do NRT-HKG-SGN in one duty-day for example.

Worse case pairings can be also built with dead-head legs. As is a DH is often built on many schedule pairings to move crews around.

Its hardly a big problem.
