Delta 767's

Wed Jun 19, 2013 1:26 am

Has the 767 fleet been fully converted to winglets? If not, are there plans to convert the remainder or will some remain conventional? Thanks.

Nope, I saw one flying into Seattle today that lacked them. Based on the ones I see flying in and out here I'd say >30% still don't have them, but there's probably an accurate list somewhere.

Edit: The winglets are only certified for the 767-300ER, so all of the -300s that Delta has will not get them, and I'd hazard a guess that some ERs still don't have them.

Thanks for the reply. It would be good to have a list if one is available. I should have further clarified that I was referring to the -300ER and also not the -400 in case someone may have misunderstood. Thanks again.

Also those with 'Domestic Configuration' don't get the winglet upgrade (for example the -3P6 series)

The ex-Gulf Air aircraft are not domestic aircraft; they have BusinessElite cabins just like the other 763ERs. However, they have a different exit layout than the rest of the 763ER fleet (6 doors and 2 overwing exits, instead of 4 doors and 4 overwing exits), and have non-FADEC GE CF6-80C2B6 engines.

All the ERs will get winglets. Between 12-15 of the 58 don't have them as of today.

Thanks for the correction! Almost forgot about the different layout after stuck with the domestic fleet for months!

When the -3P6ER comes in they always cause a bit of confusion as normally when we refer to door number 2 now becomes door number 3...

And the non-fadec engines... always make me think they are CF6-80A instead of -80C
