Good day fellow airliners, I have been trying to get my hand on an aircraft maintenance manual - system description part, but with no luck. I appreciate any help to find a good link.

If you work for an airline or contractor with an airline, you should be able to obtain it. If you have a customer support agreement in place, they are accessible and there is a document focal at your airline with access.
If your airline does not have a customer support agreement or if you do not work for an airline, you'll have to get into a contract with someone who does. The manuals are not public information, although some to leak out onto the internet.

Uhm... are you sure you know what are you looking for? What would be "system description part" in your understanding?

I doubt you have ever had a peek at a AMM. It does have system descriptions, but it is all buried through out the massive volume of how to change stuff and how to preform operational checks. What you might really want is a maintenance training manual. The kind of book you work through during the Airbus maintenance school. How do you get one? Go to the school.

He's looking for the D & O (Description and operations Manual) Usually found in the First section of the AMM for Example
AMM 27-93-00-001,(where you might find the description and operation of the ELAC) as the other subparts are -201,301,401. 501,601 and 801 not excluding including the SRM,SRI, SSM.ASM TSM and AWM.

Nowadays an Airbus AMM does not exist as a paper book. They are all on DVD or on line. If you can get hold of a DVD then you are stuck because when you put it in your computor you need on line connection to Airbus to activate it. Your only chance is to get a PDF manual on a CD, and the last one was published more than 10 years ago.
The Boeing 777 AMM Part 1 is a System description. It is used as training material.
