APU went inop inflight and auto pilot had a problem. The flight crew declared an emergency but I am not sure why as those systems going inop generally dont warrant an emergency declaration unless there is a fire in the APU but in that case they wouldnt have diverted all the way back to
CDG. Only way to know exactly what went on would be if you knew the pilot or dispatcher that had the discussion at the diversion time. Aircraft left
CDG again two hours after landing so whatever was wrong had a fairly quick resolution once on the ground.
