He starts off with inputting the arrival route (STAR), runway transition, and finally the approach itself. He then goes on to the weight/balance and performance calculations. The NGX automatically calculates a zero fuel weight (ZFW) and gives you your takeoff weight as well. All you need is to plug in the cost index, planned reserve fuel (including diversion and final reserves), and the intended cruise altitude. Last step is takeoff speeds, just plug in takeoff flaps (usually 5 unless it's a short runway, [SWA also uses flaps 1 where able]) and it also gives you V1 Vr and V2. The last step is to get the CG to set trim, just click the button and it tells you where to move the trim wheel to.
