Hi everyone,
Can anyone give me an address to put into the Uber app or a point to where I can go to Imperial Hill to watch planes today? Other than flying into and out of the airport, I am not familiar with the area. So, a specific point would be most helpful.

500 E Imperial Ave, El Segundo, CA. That will get you in the right area, might have to walk a few hundred feet in either direction.

If you're at LAX, a Pro spotting tip is to take the Sepulveda Parking Spot shuttle (There are 2 Parking Spot garages, so make sure you take the Sepulveda and not the Century one).
Once at the garage (don't forget to tip the driver since you're not actually parked their) and walk to where there's passthrough to the in-n-out burger, this will put you right across the street from Imperial hill, just be careful crossing that road!

Not even close. Imperial Hill is on the south side of LAX. You are describing the NE side of LAX......

D'oh! My bad, sorry. I know there's a name for the "Hill" (minor mound) over at that spotting location, but for the life of me, I always that that was Imperial hill.

That's the hill where I became an Avigeek back in 2013. I took my grandad to LA for a taping of the Price Is Right for his 80th birthday and we went to that hill and watched planes. That's where it all began for me.

Fantastic guys. Thank you all so much. I have been on the hill for about 2 hours, heading to In N Out later this afternoon. It’s an absolutely beautiful day out here today. Thank you again.

Check out the Flight Path Museum and learning center, a lot of cool exhibits on airlines and the airport itself. Right off imperial, google maps will have it.

While it is chilly outside, it is amazingly clear as we have had quite a few storms the past days/weeks. You probably had great views of the basin from Imperial Hill.

I hope you’re having a blast. I remember going to Imperial Hill last year on my last night in LA after a little saint patricks day weekend solo trip and it was an amazing spot checking out all the activity at TBIT terminal at night.
Also the In-N-Out burger was a really cool spot I stopped there on my way out of LAX to my hotel and ate in my rental watching all the planes come in a very cool experience second only to Maho Beach. We don’t have In n out here in NY so it was a nice treat as well.

Some years ago, I worked on a building on Imperial. It was too long to walk but I would drive over to eat lunch and watch airplanes. I came across a couple old regulars who improved my viewing experience when they figured out I was as nutty as they were about airplane viewing. Have a great time.
