Flight Simulator Home cockpit project

Sun Jul 14, 2019 2:05 am

Hello everyone,
First post here, although I’ve read the forums for years. I thought this would be a good place to share my home Cockpit project with people who might appreciate it!

I’m running X-Plane 11 and mostly use the Zibo-mod 737-800, however I just purchased the Flight Factor 757 and 767 extended packages and will be posting future videos to the sim’s YouTube page using those models as well. Hope you enjoy. Any comments and feedback welcome. This is a much cheaper home cockpit setup than many found on YouTube, but IMO, gets the job done quite well. I can also fly GA aircraft.

Specs are:
i7 processor
Nvidia RTX2070 GPU
32GB RAM
3 - 55 inch 4K TV’s
2 siatek yokes
2 CH-pro pedals
2 Siatek throttle quadrants
1 Siatek radio panel
1 Siatek lights/gear switch panel
2 iPad minis run the FMCs
1 iPad runs garmin GPS software

I have other videos of the home cockpit on the YouTube page, and more to come.

I’m a long time flight simmer from the beginning days of FS1. I love the PMDG 737. Fs2020 looks pretty cool too but I have not read up on it much. Nice setup on those videos. I’m jealous!!!

Thanks! I’ve been flying flight sims since fs95 and on. X-plane 11 is another animal, it’s the program I day dreamed about as a kid. Blows every other sim away I’ve ever used, and made this home cockpit a reality. I agree, MSFS2020 trailer looks amazing but based on Microsoft’s track record the last 10 years I’m skeptical. If it is as amazing as it looks though, it will be running my home cockpit in the future.

Here’s a flight I did in south Florida with photo realistic ortho scenery in the Ultimate 737-700 BBJ livery recently.

Welcome to ANET. The videos look amazing!

Do you mind showing the photos of actual physical setup? Maybe a video to guide the viewers through how its all hooked up and why you chose particular components might be of interest to many.
