Difficulty finding models

I collect pre-assembled aircraft models. It is strange that I am unable to find large-scale models of the Singapore and Korean A380s in 1/200 scale. Singapore models are hard to find of any type as well as (B744, D10). ANA models, especially the new A380 Flying Turtles are impossible to find as well. Why is there such a limited supply of popular aircraft which would be best-sellers? Do airlines restrict the number of models available? You would think they would welcome collecting of their aircraft (free advertising). On the other hand, Emirates, British Airways, Lufthansa and Asiana are plentiful.

I am not an expert, but as far as I know only a limited amount is being produced. This may be different from manufacturerer to manufacturer, even from airline to airline, type to type.

My recommendation is, look on ebay, be patient, do not pay every price they are calling for. I made quite a few bargains there. Sometimes I even bought some from the very other part of the world with good shipping rates.

Besides this, do some online research for webshops in other countries which are shipping worldwide.

Just my two Cents.

Didn't SQ limit sales of their models to Kris Shop and on board only?

This might apply to their own collection. Some years ago I made a great deal of getting a SQ 744 from their own collection on amazon marketplace at bargain prices.
