Books on United Airlines?

Mon Oct 28, 2019 12:00 pm

Are there any books available on United Airlines? I’ve had a quick scan on amazon and can only see an Ian Allan ABC from 1997! That’s much too old (and the reviews are pretty awful anyway!). There are a few books devoted to specific UA flights that either crashed or were the subject of terrorist attacks but I’m looking for a general history and guide to operations etc.

I tried to find the same thing some years ago with no luck and was surprised there’s very little written on such a significant carrier with a fascinating past

The one we use at United to represent United is called

"United-The age of Flight", this was published in 2001, so it is before the CO Merger, but there isn't anything published since the merger with Continental. This book is the last book published with information on United.

Thanks! I wasn't aware of that book but I might take a look - even if it's a bit old now. Perhaps the authors could be persuaded to publish an updated version!

I have semi biographical books on several different airlines, some better than others but there’s very few that are remotely up to date

I hope someone addresses this
