Pan Am Blue

Fri Feb 21, 2020 12:21 am

Sometime back there was a discussion on how to duplicate Pan Am Blue. Well, I came across this graphics guide in the digital collection of Pan Am at the Univ. of Miami. If you go to https://merrick.library.miami.edu/cdm/r ... /id/109428 and then to page 15, this starts a discussion of the blue that appears in print. Now they may have used a different blue for other uses, but this is a good start. I'm not sure that the Pantone system that is mentioned is the easiest one to use. Maybe someone can read the section and make sense of it.

I have moved your topic to the Hobby Forum, since it doesn't really fit in Civil Aviation.

Actually, the Pantone system will duplicate it exactly if you follow the procedures. For general look Pantone Process Blue 6 is extremely close.
