why is the rc plane hobby a problem in the us

Fri Feb 28, 2020 9:13 am

hi everyone I have watched a fair few videos about the RC plane hobby in America and the FAA and I know that there are a lot of people in the us right now that aren't happy with the FAA and it is certain becoming a problem for the hobby community's.

so what are your opinions about this problem that's happening right now ?

Short and sweet?

Easy to fly drones in the hands of idiots with no skill and no regard for safety have forced the FAA into panic mode and they are trying to suck traditional model aviation in with it.
We are all just fanboys, our opinions don't make or break businesses.

I meant without getting into a 3 paragraph dissertation about what I feel happened.

Me and over 30,000 others who wrote to the FAA about it think it is. Power in numbers.

Think about it. They don't even require ultralights to have and N number OR any kind of transponder device and they are considering some kind of tracking device for foam RC airplanes that will lose the radio signal after a mile. I can understand camera drones like the DJI phantom but traditional rc aircraft?
