Fuselage Questions

Sat Feb 29, 2020 7:33 pm

Hello all,

I obtained a Dornier 328 fuselage that I don't have a use for, so I was planning on trying to sell it.

How would you recommend I go about marketing it? I was thinking Ebay might be my best bet, unless there is somewhere else I would have better luck. Also, what do you think the value is? All the cabin lights work, I have all the seats, and it has a HVAC unit mounted to the back.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, I can't seem to find much information about this sort of thing.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure on how much it would be worth, but you might try marketing the fuselage to airlines or corporations currently operating the aircraft and could potentially be used for Flight Attendant training. I searched for operators of the Dornier 328 and came up with a few: Denver Air Connection, Ultimate Jet Charter, Sun Air, Eagle Air, Taos Air, Calm Air, Central Mountain Air, Xpress Air, Sepehran Airlines, Air Peace and Key Lime Air. Another option for the Dornier 328 fuselage is to market the fuselage to a company such as MotoArt (motoart.com). They make household furniture out of retired aircraft so that's pretty neat! Good luck!

Have you heard of Aviationtag or Planetags? They convert old aircraft fuselage baggage tags. Maybe you could sell to them or make them into tags yourself. They are pretty thick I think so they last pretty much a lifetime
