Hello, since I got the revell boeing 747 100, I wondered if I could turn it into a SP without much modification beside the fuselage because the eastern express kit cost way too much for me (sorry but I don't want to give more than 80€ for a kit)
I think it'll take a lot of work, considering it's not just fuselage length that's different, there's also that "hump" at the base of the SP tail and the fact that the forward upper deck hump ends in a different position in regards to the wing box. Plus the vertical stabiliser itself is different from the -100. The wings are different too.
But if you have the commitment, it's worth a shot.
Flaps are different (only single slotted 4-bar type rather than the tripple slotted tracked type), tailplane & fin have greater span on the SP. There's also the 'wasp waist' fuselage just ahead of the fin to consider..
