Qatar, Capt Al-Thani landing during hurricane.

Can anyone tell me, the recent video of Capt Al-Thani landing his 777 at Heathrow during a hurricane shows the pilot constantly looking down to his left side. What is he monitoring??

Visual confirmation of the Inner Marker. Sometimes you don't hear it...

No, seriously: If it this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SD3CEjNRSRc then something is clear. The footage was made with a wide-angle lens.

It seriously distorts things - and you get the idea he's looking to the left.

Another possible reason: The plane made a crabbing approach...

With the extreme wide angle lens, I bet you he's not really looking left as Flyingturtle says. My opinion is that he is constantly monitoring/checking his IAS.
