Aloha's (Aloha Pacific) DC-10s back in the '80s used for their Taipei run was stunning to see in person. It would actually gather a crowd at Honolulu's International Airport when it arrived at the gate. People would stop and stare.

WOW! I really like it...perhaps HNL-LAX-LHR? I'd fly it and I think alot of people would, since the 744 is such a comfortable a/c and also a true wide-body.

Guys,

Those pics are fake photos and it is not able get any kind of those B747-400 aircraft. I think about it with their new planes into the future and might will take chance on orders with B744.

Aloha Airlines would look great in a 747-400. I would like to fly a 747-400 by AQ.

I'd like an AQ MD-11. Now that would be something.  Smile

WOW! That is one of the best liveries I have ever seen on an airplane. Fake or not. I wish Aloha had widebodies like that.

Scottys,

I think we are aware that this is a fake photo. We are just acknowledging the fact that this is is a great livery. Regardless if it is fake o not.

BTW, it's my new background.  Big thumbs up

First and foremost, you'll never see a real AQ 747-400, and secondly, certainly not one to LHR.

KKMolokai : Wow, you have actually seen the Aloha Pacific DC-10 in person!!! All I saw was a magazine advertisment by Aloha Pacific depicting their DC-10s . . . and drooled till I was nearly dehydrated! What a beauty it was.

Aviasian,

Yes I have, on several occasions. I've even been on-board (while it sat in the hangar in HNL). It was a beauty indeed!

My father recently retired from Aloha, and growing up in Hawaii I spent a lot of time at the airport, in the hangars, and on-board Aloha's fleet.

Those were the days!

KKMolokai,

How was the AQ DC-10 configured? C and Y? or did they have F as well?

HNLFlyboy,

Aloha Pacific's DC10 was in a two-class (First & Coach) configuration. I'm sorry, I don't recall how many seats were in either cabin.

I do recall the First Class cabin having deep Burgundy colored seats, with cloth headrest slips/covers embroidered with the Aloha Pacific logo, and the words "Royal First Class." I believe at home (in Hawaii) packed away I still have a few wine glasses from Aloha Pacific's First Class cabin, etched with the "plumeria" motif Aloha used at the time. I believe I still have the original Aloha Pacific fliers, timetables, etc. from back then as well.

El Al is one of the few carriers I can DEFINITELY say I prefer the old colors on... new livery is just boring.

We know that. Hence the term, fantasy livery!!! I'd love to see anything with new TWA colors, but that is also a fantasy.  Sad
