Sure, why not! Just make sure to post your entire new team, so that I don't have to scroll up and down and check which particular player to omit.

It would be fun to have the A.Net Premiership...the 16 teams playing each other twice, except I doubt we'd be able to keep someone updating matches every few days.

Well, actually, no. You could still make it, if you score 3 points in the last round, and EVA doesn't win any more, then it's down to points difference. So I believe there is still a chance for you, we'll have to see in 3 days!

Hm... actually, now after I have some practice at getting the results (and thanks to Firefox tabbed brwosing!) a match doesn't take me more than a minute. The problem would be, we would need people who are really interested in this, and who wouldn't get bored after a couple of weeks. That's why we're starting with this match, so we can see who's really into this! And then maybe we'll start a whole new tournament!

KLM vs. Viasa

Sad. KLM was like the mother of Viasa. I can't believe they will be playing against each other. Look here's a hybrid KLM-Viasa livery DC-10.

So lets see, my fate (US Airways/America West) lies in a must win over Northeast and papenovembers USAF must win.
Lets go USAF for now! Northeast isnt looking strong with 0 points, so itll be close!

PS: We all know US would defeat HP

So it looks pretty balanced in most cases, meaning that the next two days, which are the final matches of the first round, are extremely important! After that it's good-bye to half of the teams... and off into the finals!

So, here's who will play tomorrow:

Icelandair vs. Viasa
Air France vs. EVA Air
Olympic vs. US/America West
United Airlines vs. Aerolineas (2)

The downturn of football at its best.... I naver thought that what is happening in Germany's, Italy's, Greece's football leagues could happen here as well. It seems that the job of the referee is a highly corrupting occupation.  silly

Imagine 20 teams to count every day Big grin

Some here can't follow with just 4 matches a day  Sad

I hope the tournament will go on soon, as I am very curious who has the best team.

If a Premier leauge start ones, I would be honored to present my team. In the meantime I will wait and see how this ends.

Group A
1) Icelandair (Birdwatching) (6pts.)
2) KLM (Erikwilliam) (3pts.)
3) Aer Lingus (Greenjet) (3pts.)
4) Viasa (Luisde8cd) (3pts.)

Group B
5) Air France (Aerlingus330) (6pts.)
6) Aerolineas Argentinas (EZEIZA) (3pts.)
7) Continental (Senorcarnival) (0pts.)
8) EVA Air (Pipo777) (6pts.)

Group C
9) Olympic (SXFAN) (6pts.)
10) Northeast (Pl4nekr4zy) (3pts.)
11) US Air Force (PapaNovember) (4pts.)
12) US/America West (KCMike) (1pts.)

Group D

14) Delta (MD11junkie) (3pts.)
15) South African (SA006) (3pts.)

So in most cases the two winners are obvious, except for group B, where 3 teams have 6 points...

So these are the winners in each group:

Group A
1) Icelandair (167)
2) Aer Lingus (156)

Group B
1) EVA (143)
2) Aerolineas (141)

Group C
1) Olympic (152)
2) Northeast (150)

Group D)
1) United (161)
2) South African (148)

NOTE: In group B, Air France had 6 points too, but only 138 goals, which is less than the other two.

So it's all down to 4 teams! Icelandair, Olympic, Aer Lingus and Northeast! The World Champion will be one of these four! Tomorrow, Icelandair will play against Olympic, and then the day after tomorrow, Aer Lingus against Northeast!

How exciting! We're in the semifinals! A little delayed today, because the referee was at Six Flags Great Adventure today... to ride the world's tallest and steepest roller coaster, Kingda-Ka! Which turned out to be closed due to thunderstorm risk! Oh no! But then, we had a lot of fun anyway.

I'm sorry to say that there will be no soccer matches this weekend, since I'll be flying LGA-YYZ-FRA on Saturday. The World Cup will continue after I arrive in Germany!

But now... drum roll... today's match!

Icelandair 47 vs. Olympic 51

Which means that I'm out!  cry
Oh noooooo!  no
Well, on the other hand, I had a lot of fun in the World Cup! My Team Icelandair has reached the semi-finals!
But when you keep in mind that I'm the referee...  innocent  there would have been a scandal!

It turned out to be a whole BBQ, great sausage, great steaks!
