The Screenshot Thread V22 & Competition

Sat Apr 15, 2006 5:54 am

Hi everyone,

Time for a new thread.
Same as before regarding screenshots and the competition...

RULES:
------------

1.
You may enter as many pictures as you want to, there is no limit.

2.
As in previous threads, Screenshots may ONLY be posted in thumbnail format. Any full size pictures will be deleted and not considered for the competition. You all know by now how to do them so you have no excuses!

3.
Pictures with "Replay 256" or "Simulation Paused" or the flight info on the top left of screen (Red text) are not allowed. It must be cropped out. The only text on screen allowed will be that of AI traffic in the picture.

4.
You may edit your screenshots, for example Sharpening, Contrast, Brightness etc as you wish, but any overedited shots that look totally unrealistic will not be considered. This includes effects from Photoshop such as water reflections. These will not be allowed as they not a FS effect.

5.
Pictures must NOT be taken in slew mode. All shots must be taken during a flight. (And believe me, I know a slew mode shot when I see one!!!)

6.
I will continue to post screenshots as per usual but I am excluded from entering the competition!

A couple of randoms, both from shakedowns at SJO. One is DL 757-200 Ship 647 and me betraying my loyalty to the 757-200 with Rollers (it's the first time I flew a PW 757, so for me it was a shakedown). The other is the CLS A340-500 in CLS house colours (I'm yet to download the other repaints due to the filesize and my 56k connection), doing its own shakedown. And the last one is AC's FIN639 at YYZ before departure. Screenshots are posted mixed.

I am aware that a few of these may not qualify. Oh, and the Coke MD-11 had to go because every time I loaded that aircraft up, FS9 would shut down a few minutes into the flight.

Nice one Gaz! There isn't anything cheap about it, it's a great shot! Only thing I can suggest is try playing with opacity sliders a bit to make it a little less full on. See here: http://virtual.planepictures.net/show.cgi?124528

But to be honest that is just personal preference, and either way it's a great shot! Big grin

Chris, Aaron, Richie and Jeffry also looking brilliant as usual!  silly

It's payware. You can purchase it either with the A346 or as an A346 expansion pack.

Sounds like a CTD problem due to a 24 bit texture. Check your PM, I have a solution for that.

Could you shed some light on how to solve that problem because I have a problem with many 50N 737 textures.. I load up the aircraft and my FS just crashes!

Many thanks,

Hey there,

Great shots guys, nice to view. Also excellent to see a couple of AL shots Wink

Some new shots from me, first time in a long while Smile

Approaching runway 26L at LGW onboard G-LMCG inbound from Paris CDG. The aircraft taxiing is an Air Lambert A320, G-LMCD, which still wears the old colours and is heading out for Edinburgh.

G-LMCA awaits departure to Dublin with another Airbus on short finals and a train passing for the South Coast of Sussex

Old meets new

'Charlie Delta' passes Pier 2 on her way out for departure to Naples, Italy

Just airborne from 26L and passing my favourite place to shoot at LGW, this A320 powers towards France

Delta heavy is airborne and headed across the Atlantic

What happens when you send NW sends the DC-10 to SXM. Lots of noise and a struggle, but a beautiful shot!

This Virgin Airbus makes a nice change from the plain AF livery as she floats over Maho beach on a brilliant day full of Caribbean sunshine

Default scenery? Yep, still pretty damn good as the queen of the skies shows the beast she is

This Boeing hogs the night light as it climbs

Hope you enjoyed, been a while,

Cheers,

Haha it's ok our username's are really different. To post multiple shots you get a program called fsscreen from Avsim, then while playing flight sim press the "print screen" key to take the shot. Save it and use imageshack or photobucket, but I prefer imageshack, to upload. Then you take the thumbnail code and paste it here and the shots will show up. For future try to keep all questions to the FS Question thread because this thread is mainly for screenshots. Thanks!

Aaron, when you upload them to imageshack you get some links to your images, one of them is code for a forum thumbnail, paste that code into the reply window

Reinstalled XP, and FS+UT, and I had completely forgotten how blocky it looks by default. Now all I have to find are all my add-ons and registrations for them. UT was hell since it considered my HDD change as a major thing, lol.

Oh, and I forgot: Lovely pics all, and GEEZ, good to see you operate a 4-burner machine Big grin
That Winuala Dreaming (sp?) is one of the greatest liveries I've seen, both in FS and especially the real one. Stunning!

About a year ago, I repainted the BA 777 and did textures for every single one of their 45 strong 777 fleet!

GE90 Pack 1: G-RAES, G-VIIA/B/C/D/E (Textures Only)
http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=66595

GE90 Pack 2: G-VIIF/G/H/J/K/L/M (Textures Only)

GE90 Pack 3: G-VIIN/O/P/R/S/T/U (Textures Only)

GE90 Pack 4: G-VIIV/W/X/Y, G-ZZZA/B/C (Textures Only)
http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=66660

The 'Albino White Belly' BA 777 repaint I did has GE engines so if downloading any of the GE texture packs, you can use this as a base model (You will need to know how to edit .cfg folders etc)
http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=66915

(A preview pic of the albino BA 777 can be seen by clicking the following link..)

Here's my first go at posting a screen shot. It's a fictional BA flight from London Gatwick to Amsterdam Schiphol using iDFG A319, somewhere over Kent, climbing through 13,000 I think.

Some small editing done using photoshop (tried to simulate the heat coming out of the back by blurring and then adding a ripple filter, as well as a slight hint of lens flare). Very late and had a few to drink, so i'm hoping it will look as good as I think it does now, in the morning!  crossfingers

Azza, you need to choose the thumbnail code for forums and paste it here.

the code looks like this, I have just added some spaces so that it won't appear as a thumbnail
