FS9 Long Beach Scenery

Fri Nov 03, 2006 11:32 pm

Is there any good payware scenery for Long Beach Airport out for FS9? I am in the market for some as the default scenery just doesn't cut it. Any help is appreciated.

Check Avsim, but I think Shehyar (sp?) Ansari has released some decent So Cal scenery, among which was LGB if I recall correctly.

Well, partly true, his KONT,KBUR and KSNA sceneries from the LA basin are really great and I make lots of use of them but sadly he didn't (yet?.... fingers crossed that he does one day) touch KLGB up until now.
As far as I know there was some package out but that was only for FS2002 and it doesn't seem to work in FS9.

As far as Payware goes I don't think there is anything out there and nothing for the foreseeable future.

Not sure what you're on about as Shez's FS2002 KLGB works just fine in FS9 (though I recommend removing the static aircraft for less frame rate hit). He is however currently working on a 2006 update for LGB, as indicated on his site:

Hey that's nice to hear, maybe I f****d up something with it the last time I tried to install it, I'll give it another go, it would certainly make the LA area more complete.

BTW maybe this is a good place to give him the recognition he clearly deserves for making all these nice goodies (as do so many other freeware makers).
