I tried using the "remove default commercial traffic" installation I downloaded from Project AI long ago, but for some reason the default AI planes were still there.
So I went straight to the Aircraft folder and started removing the Soars, Landmarks etc from the 737, 777, 747 etc folders. But in the heat of battle I thought it would be easier to just remove the entire folders instead, as the only AI traffic located in them was the default ones I wanted to get rid of in the first place. So I deleted them all, only to realise afterwards that I'd still need the folders to make the default panels and sounds to work. (Most, if not all of my downloaded aircraft need these folders to work properly...)
A real "slap head and see how many swear words I remember" moment, as I have removed the folders from the bin, and can't find the default FS2004 aircraft anywhere to put back in the aircraft folder. I don't want to reinstall FS2004, as it would overwrite all the added traffic and scenery which has taken months to download and get to operate.
So what do I do...?
I'm pretty sure Project AI had a "reinstall default commercial traffic" installation as well, but I can't find it anymore, and I'm not even sure it would help if I did... as it is the basic aircraft I need.
