Newark Airline Show

Mon Aug 04, 2008 12:32 pm

I'm planning to attend the Newark Airline Show on September 13. I've never been to one of these - what can I expect to see?

Thanks.

What is the purpose of this show?

Their website homepage says it's under construction.

What type of tradeshow is it? What types of vendors will be exhibiting?

Any info is appreciated.

That's pretty sweet! If i didnt have school i'd probably try and plan a trip up there for it. Wish they'd do something like that in Orlando.

They will next year. The biggest show AI2009 will be in Orlando. I think the

Anyone know how easy it is to get from the Newark or EWR amtrak station to the venue and back? If I go i'd take amtrak down and need easy access.
Doors open, right hand side, next stop is Springfield.

I'm taking Amtrak to EWR, then taking a taxi. The hotel has a shuttle bus, but I don't know what the schedule is.

Going into Newark would mean a much longer taxi ride.

That bites. I'm not arriving Penn Station until 8:30 that night. I could still cancel my Amtrak reward and bus it from Montreal to Newark.

Well, at most of the one day tradeshows (Newark, Seattle, Atlanta etc) you would expect to see lots of different finds:

Books, Magazine, Safety Cards, Stickers, Utenisils, Dishware, everything really.

At the bigger shows like Airliners International there are 3 days worth of the tradeshow and a lot more things to see and buy.

Any more questions, please e-mail me at [email protected]

I've been to each tradeshow at least once.

Show is 9 AM-3 PM Saturday, September 12. There is a shuttle between the terminals at EWR and the Ramada Inn, where the show is being held. I'll have copies of the new "Wings of Man" history of Eastern, as well as photos of numerous airlines, including many vintage shots.

Funny how this thread was 7 years ago...Nice.

I am only a 6 hour drive to EWR. I haven't been to an Airline Collectable show since 2006 when it was at IAD and I've been to one at LAX. Maybe I can make that long drive on Saturday.

Thanks for the heads up, I had no idea there were any recent books published on Eastern. I'll definitely pick up a copy during the show.
