RE: FS/X-Plane Screenshots V. 5- Trijet Edition!

Sat May 01, 2010 11:24 am

PSS/POSKY Merge...my fav FS9 a/c. I customized it...I have the POSKY model/vc + the PSS panel, systems sims, and flight dynamics, which rocks....

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4037/4567889736_f058fcbf24_b.jpg

...how does it compare to the PMDG 747 in Qantas colours!?

,a href='http://farm5.static.flickr.com/[email protected]/4567891408/sizes/l/

For the trijets, here is a UA DC10 into TEX...I greased the landing too.

a couple of more....

Alpha/flight1 Hawker Hunter (one of the most beautiful fighters evaaaar!) + E-190 private climbing from Victoria with a full tank, to here knows when...

I'm running FS9 stock, with a few add-ons.. Hell of alot of planes + some of the best free sceneries. I get my hands on a good system that can run FSX right now

Wow, I have no idea what will post here, but, I'm trying to post a few screenies. I have alot more where that came from too. I focus on quality aircraft more than anything.

[Edited 2010-05-01 04:32:23]

This is the traffic BA 747-436 G-BNLB and another company plane, absolutely destroying the Boeing for speed:

http://www.totalnfs.net/c_d_files/BA-fleet_1.jpg
http://www.totalnfs.net/c_d_files/BA-fleet_2.jpg

You could see that high condensation trail getting closer, fast, and then ripping past so quickly!   That's real speed, as far as passenger planes go.

Well, I figured it was only a matter of time. Today I found a Cam Sim 787 in the new United/Continental livery. It uses the default A321 cockpit mainly, with a few twists...

Wow, I really can't come close to creating some of sceneries of your screen shots! Some of those clouds look incredibly realistic. I've taken a couple thousand screenshots of my FS9 collection over the past year or so, so I'll start with a few. I have alot of payware aircraft, but my PC can't run FSX, and I don't even trust it with FS9+cloud add-ons...it struggles with the PMDG addons, for example, and I know the more it labors, the shorter its life will be. Please excuse my drunken internet coding temper tantrum from a few posts earlier.

No tri-jet here...but very cool, nonetheless. Since I'm a big fan of turboprops, I decided to shell out some more $$$ and pick up the Captain Sim C-130 X-perience. Nice bird. Here, I'm taking off out of Bloomington IL (KBMI) with some nasty thunderstorms looming overhead...

Thank you. Believe it or not that was taken back in 2006. I look at it now, and truthfully can't tell the difference. Not that it was graphically demanded in that shot. I upgraded to Windows 7 yesterday so we will see if I see any difference in performance in FSX. I'm not gonna get the hopes up.

I hate to nit-pick, but there's no "U" in that airline's name. It's spelled Qantas. It stands for Queensland And Northern Territory Aerial Services.

Just thought I'd mention it.

Finally got the "mother of all tri-jets" working again: PMDG's fabulous MD-11 (now I just have to get all of my liveries):

Got a bunch of my liveries back for the MD-11...here it is in SFO wearing my all-time favorite UAL colors. UAL never had the MD-11, but if they did, she would have looked GOOD!!!

And she does Batman. That's the cool thing about FS. You can create images of times and places that have gone by or never were! Very nice shots. Love the angles and I love SFO.
BTW, did you go through the aircraft and pull down some of the window shades?

I wanted to see how creative I could get by just using the default weather (no Active Sky or anything like that). Here, I'm climbing in an A340-500 through a thunderstorm with high levels of humidity...and then I switch to the MD-11 once I'm on top of the weather:

http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww199/xxdarkknight/DeltaMD112.jpg

I can only imagine how good the weather can look with some of the add-ons you guys have...one of these days I'll bite the bullet and shell out some more $$$$

Gasp! FR using buses and covered airstairs for the PAX?? there must be an extra charge for that!!

Nice shots as usual, there was a time when I flew lots of FR flights out of GRO on the sim, bit of hard work trying to do the 25 minute turnarounds.

I know! LOL, I have the Eirsim DUB scenery and the couple of times I have flown into it, the FR planes are on the apron, but still I have not yet fully explored the airport to see if some cheeky FR sneaked into a jetway...

Hi

Nice Ansett A320, I've actually flown on that one!

Thanks. After looking at some Ansett pics, I just had to find some colors for FS. I saw your shots in there too, but hadn't noticed that they were on the same plane simulated. I'll bet that was a great journey too! I'd love to make it "down under" sometime.

Yea, the 727 is great, although it isn't an L1011 or MD11. I've always had a thing for the 727, they just had to make it even better with the Super 727 with larger JT-8d's and winglets.

Batman has a great trijet! I love those classic UAL and DL schemes... I'd post a DC-10 in the grey scheme, but I can't find it (edit - the screenshots I made, that is), but I'd absolutely LOVE to see that PMDG MD-11 grey UAL colors!

I'll post a few more myself...

Thanks, I find the scheduled blocktimes are also fairly tight. However, Ryanair flies to some great destinations across Europe that hardly any airline else serves. For example, Altenburg-Nobitz (EDAC):
