Those were the times

... I was actually kinda glad when they were retired.

I cannot contribute to this threads since I don't fly classics (unless you consider the A320 a classic, some are being scrapped so it must count no?)

I tried for quite a while to install that package...it says it's for FSX - is that right? Because no matter what I do, that airplane will not show up in my "select aircraft" page. I'm pretty experienced in installing both payware and freeware aircraft, and have come across times where a little black magic and voodoo was needed to make airplanes work. What am I doing wrong?

The package has been made workable for FSX.

The folder should read 'Boeing FS 737-200' with all it's sub folders. I just copied and placed all where the .txt document said they should go.

Let me know how you get on.

Cool, I landed, parked it at the (bus) gate and paused it to watch the F1, now I am gonna do the return... another 2 hours back to ZRH.

Hopefully next week we can all fly the Project Airbus A380! I am eager to do some CDG-LHR-CDG flights to recreate my 12th of June flights on the superjumbo Big grin

Yeah, I saw that...this is word-for-word what the "read me" says:

Copy all Folders in the "FSX Boeing 737-200" Folder to the FSX Main Directory
(ex. C:Program Files Microsoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator X)
This is the FSX Version of the 737-200

Did that - nothing. Dug a little further and found the folder named "FS 737-200" and placed that in the "airplanes" folder - nothing. So needless to say, I'm a little perplexed.

I've read a few times that if the config shows SIM=B7372 that you have to remove the B but on saying that my config looks different from yours. It is the same file package that you downloaded?

The original "double decker" or "deux ponts". You'd throw your car in the belly underneath, & sit upstairs.

Yeah! Got it on Flightsim. It's for FS2004, just look up Air France propliners, you know the drill!

Some guy just made it himself because he loved the plane so much when he was a kid, great model. I used a DC-6 panel & sound.

And the wipers work in the rain!!!

Nice shot though, seriously. Night time lighting doesn't always come out well when posted in a thread. I notice the cabin lights are on and the cockpit lighting is as it should be. Most likely the Stews are rushing to serve drinks before TO instead of demonstrating the safety features of the Boeing 727 aircraft.

Wow. Now that's an unusual sim. Nice one ElpinDAB!
Although it was available during the Vietnam war, it never fulfilled it's intended mission. It was the first supersonic bomber in the US arsenal and designed as a "Cold War" weapon. It set records for speed, altitude and distance. With the delta wing and being a 4-holer, it was not an easy bird to fly. I think something like 1 out of 5 were lost during non-combat missions. Back in the day, the B-58 was pure US muscle designed to keep the USSR in check.

Awesome bank shot in the sunset Elpin. Makes me wonder about the turning radius of that beast.

I personally just use normal scenery, but if you are interested I have seen some 60s sceneries etc on Flightsim.com

Ha ha, I had to teach myself how to fly old props & I actually don't even know how the engines all died but for one! Suffice to say...I "landed" the old gal...a few times...
