Hello

My very first flight was on a Britannia 737 back in 1978:

Loved the Orion Airways Livery:

Lol, seems we have a theme within a theme here! Read an interestin article about Orion recently, seems they really stuck in people's minds.

And I'm such an idiot...got confused with the Space Needle in Seattle...and was very confused...for a few minutes...

Try the 737 package (if you don't have already) in one of my links above. I can tell you that it flies fantastic and the sound is exact!

Is that in MIA? gosh I remember when I lived back there, the noise those things made whilst taking off! the whole Miami area was just constantly bombarded by them 727s taking off or landing.

Those were the times    ... I was actually kinda glad when they were retired.

I cannot contribute to this threads since I don't fly classics (unless you consider the A320 a classic, some are being scrapped so it must count no?)

I tried for quite a while to install that package...it says it's for FSX - is that right? Because no matter what I do, that airplane will not show up in my "select aircraft" page. I'm pretty experienced in installing both payware and freeware aircraft, and have come across times where a little black magic and voodoo was needed to make airplanes work. What am I doing wrong?

Batman

The package has been made workable for FSX.

The folder should read 'Boeing FS 737-200' with all it's sub folders. I just copied and placed all where the .txt document said they should go.

Let me know how you get on.

Cool, I landed, parked it at the (bus) gate and paused it to watch the F1, now I am gonna do the return... another 2 hours back to ZRH.

Hopefully next week we can all fly the Project Airbus A380! I am eager to do some CDG-LHR-CDG flights to recreate my 12th of June flights on the superjumbo Big grin

Yeah, I saw that...this is word-for-word what the "read me" says:

Copy all Folders in the "FSX Boeing 737-200" Folder to the FSX Main Directory
(ex. C:Program Files Microsoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator X)
This is the FSX Version of the 737-200

Did that - nothing. Dug a little further and found the folder named "FS 737-200" and placed that in the "airplanes" folder - nothing. So needless to say, I'm a little perplexed.

Hey, the Luxor light beam is out. You really need to add the KLAS "Building Maintenance" update. It contains un-documented labor that changes light bulbs, washes cars and handles all the landscaping.

Nice shot though, seriously. Night time lighting doesn't always come out well when posted in a thread. I notice the cabin lights are on and the cockpit lighting is as it should be. Most likely the Stews are rushing to serve drinks before TO instead of demonstrating the safety features of the Boeing 727 aircraft.

Beautiful! I like to think of the Caravelle as Concorde's precursor.

Trés Magnifique! It's almost like a miniature A-37.

Nice!

AF Breguet 763 Provence.

Crazy! I didn't even know that thing existed! Very interesting though.

Hate the B-58's intended mission, but it's a beautiful plane.
Wow. Now that's an unusual sim. Nice one ElpinDAB!
Although it was available during the Vietnam war, it never fulfilled it's intended mission. It was the first supersonic bomber in the US arsenal and designed as a "Cold War" weapon. It set records for speed, altitude and distance. With the delta wing and being a 4-holer, it was not an easy bird to fly. I think something like 1 out of 5 were lost during non-combat missions. Back in the day, the B-58 was pure US muscle designed to keep the USSR in check.

Awesome bank shot in the sunset Elpin. Makes me wonder about the turning radius of that beast.

I personally just use normal scenery, but if you are interested I have seen some 60s sceneries etc on Flightsim.com

Dang Aer-D, you must love a challenge. Now tell us...honestly. How did that flight, uh, "terminate"?

Ha ha, I had to teach myself how to fly old props & I actually don't even know how the engines all died but for one! Suffice to say...I "landed" the old gal...a few times...

...and hopefully during sparrow migration season too.

Yeah like that thing could even fly as high as a sparrow!

You really need to add some newer LAS scenery.
Yeah Batman. Siegfried and Roy haven't headlined @ the MGM in years.

That was a SS from a few years ago.
