Best Payware For External Features? FS2004

Mon Apr 11, 2011 2:21 am

Good Evening,

Can anybody suggest the best payware aircraft for their exterior features (i.e. wing flex, night lighting, see through engine fans, wing views, etc)? I personally do not care as much for panels and virtual cockpits as I do the other features mentioned. I already have the QW 757, i've tried the captain sim 757 and was not impressed, also wasn't that impressed with the CLS767. I would like the PMDG 737 if they had flexing wings. Any ideas would be great. So far i've had better luck with freeware products like Project Airbus, POSKY, and the new Free Sky Spirit 2010 or whatever it's called (branch off of POSKY).

The best, PMDG MD-11 or 747-400. The 50N 737 is great for exterior.

The worst, Abacus, CLS 767 (From what I have read)

Seems a lot like my Worst and Best payware thread (But I will let you get away with it  )

Haha thanks. It was SkySpirit2010 that I was talking about different from Free Sky Project. They are the ones with what used to be the POSKY 767v5. It looks great. Just not that many paints about yet.

Not sure if it does.

iFly do however and it's a more recent (and highly quality) product.

I'm just the opposite. It can be the best looking airplane in the world, but if the VC sucks and I can't run the systems and FMC...forget it.

The PA A380 is probably the best-looking freeware airplane I've ever seen:

Yes they are excellent, and include most 737 models (6/7/8/900 + BBJ/2/3).

Also I read that the feature pack to come will include the option for the SFP (short field performance) as well as the -900ER aircraft. Add to that you can customize which cockpit setup you have, what engine ratings your bird carries, which GPWS sounds will play and how sensitive they are. The cockpit layout, as well as passenger/cargo weights plus eyebrow/no eyebrows.

I have to say I think this bird is the most customizable aircraft for any FS.
