Well I am excited for it to come out finally. I know its been delayed a lot but it seems that it well worth the wait. I will be waiting longer since I am starting grad school soon. So I am going to wait for my month break in December to make sure I have no distractions my first semester.

This add on is a complete game changer! It will make people reitre many of their current payware planes in FSX. It really is as real as it gets. I cant wait to start flying it but again will have to wait a bit longer for me. Cant wait to start reading some reviews though. This will be the best and most dynamic and realistic add on ever made!

Only the ones that are a similar type of plane.

There are others out there like the FSLabs Concorde X that are also very engaging, dynamic and realistic in their sound, graphics and systems. We'll still probably have our usual complement of Concorde, PMDG B747-400, PMDG MD-11 etc as the staples of high end addons.

Now, somebody clean those finger prints of the B737 displays in that video!

hehe and I go on holidays on the 12th to overseas, so might get it before I go, or when they hype is over 3 weeks later LOL. Anyway, they COULD find something meaning it could be further delayed so dont take this as the gospel!

Of course, especially long haul. But at the same time lets say I want to do a MIA-LAX run instead of taking a 767 or 757 out I am going to use this. And if it comes with the 737-700ER then even some long haul. Nice to see two PMDG planes in there too   I have the 744 great airplane. Once this comes out they should start on the 777 project soon obviously over a year away but cant wait for that. Heard that it should take much less time then the NGX since many of the things they had to build from the ground up for the NGX will be used in the 777.

I have a good feeling this is it. This thing is ready to fly.

And when it does get released, I'll certainly get it.

My shorthaul B747-400 flights between Sydney and Melbourne are currently realistic courtesy of United Airlines and Qantas in the real world (QF581 and QF582 are now B747-400/B747-400/ER flights), but I'd also like to have a B737-800 too.

And with FSLabs, we'll have an A320, which looks like it'll be the start of a series of Airbus planes. So it's looking like a golden-era for high quality FSX addons.

Also majestic software looks like they are doing a good Dash-8-400. I am not a big A320 fan but with the recent AA order might have to look into that also. Also cant wait for a good A380 and 787 but a few planes at a time of course.

Mmm, A380! Mmm...

We are really lacking PMDG / FSLabs style advanced-simulation style A340, B777 and A380 aircraft. B787 will be a bit tricky until the real plane gets into service and developers start getting access to reliable data and books for the plane (along with simulator time).

Looks Awesome!

I know this is a bit off topic. But do you think PMDG will make a add-on to it of the 737RE when the bird comes out?

They made an add on for the 747-800 so I think they will but that is still a few years away for the real airplane.

They said early 2010 when it first came out but obviously that was not the case. But the reason for the delay was a good one. They wanted to sell an awesome and pretty much flawless airplane which it seems like they will. Hopefully the DVD version will be ready by December

It is suppose to be more FPS friendly then the 744X and MD-11 which are older add ons. It wont be too bad. If you can run current add ons like the 747X, MD-11, Capsim 767 the NGX should be no problem. I wonder what pricing will be like. Probably pretty expensive I am guess in the $80 range.

Any of the really good addons, the advanced ones are easily woth the $80 price.

Funnily enough, the Concorde X is a pretty detailed plane with a massively detailed flight-deck and huge numbers of dials, but it is also quite framerate friendly, which is remarkable.

Developers are finding the right ways to design their addons so that they run very efficiently these days. And the FSX Acceleration Pack default F-18 was the start of it.

I find myself wondering if I'm actually going to upgrade to MS Flight. FSX has some life left in it yet. Big grin

Pricing is out. Looks like it's going to be $69.99 for the NGX with the -600/-700 add-on for another $24.99 at some time down the road. I think it's very fairly priced.

Yeah the price is very reasonable. For all the effort, research, and what we have seen, this is simply mindblowing. I am sure for whatever you pay, will give you thousands of hours of entertainment and learning. Now, for that price, what could you do? Go see a couple of movies? buy a dinner with a loved one?

Yea the price is not bad at all. Cheaper then I thought. However I thought the 700 would come out right away. But the 800 is the one I will use the most. Glad to see the 700ER will come out too. Will be nice to use this plane on some long haul flights. Will probably get the 700 and 700ER expansions. With the slightly cheaper price might just have to get it on release day.

If we're talking about wish lists, I'd like to see the -900ER and a short-field performance option version come out. Ditto for an A318 with the steep approach landing package. That would be awesome.

The base model will have the short-field performance package it is an option you can chose in the FMC along with other things such as ETOPs package, or the satellite dish for IFE! This plane is a game changer for FSX. As for the 900ER Does Boeing make non 900ERs anymore? I am not sure but I feel like the 900 they are giving is the 900ER but I really have no clue.

From the PMDG forum at avsim:

PMDG 737NGX PACKAGES:
=====================

PMDG 737NGX Base Package: $69.99* ETA: On/Before 04AUG11 Contains the 737-800/800WL, 737-900/900WL

PMDG 737NGX 6700 Package: $24.99 ETA: 4-8 weeks after base Contains the 737-600, 737-700/700WL

PMDG 737NGX ER Package: TBA ETA: 4-8 weeks after 6700 Contains the all 737ER variants.

PMDG 737NGX BBJ Package: TBA ETA: TBA Subject to interest Contains BBJ/BBJ2 variants.

PMDG 737NGX Mil Package: TBA ETA: TBA Subject to interest Contains the P-8 and "Wedgetail" variants.

So all possible ER versions of the 737NG will come out with a package. Most likely it looks like every type of 737NG made will be out at some point. And once the 737RE is out I am sure they will do that too. They said they made the plane so if they can add features etc.. It will be easy to do so. It is their "legacy" product so updates and packages may continue for years.

It is out! WOW! about time! I am sure it is worth the wait cant wait to read some reviews. As for me I am waiting for December, in a week I am going to be too busy to even have a chance to fly it. Dont even want the distraction. Will enjoy it in my break in December along with the 700 and the 700ER and 900ER.

This is going to be the best FS add on ever created. And their 777 is going to be even better.

Apparently the site was hit by a denial of service attack the moment the product was released.   So we won't have the B737 as soon as we expected.

I realise that linking to another forum might be against the rules:

But that's the best place to stay up to date with the latest news on the issue. Hope they can get it sorted soon.

Wow, who would do this. A simmer who is angry about no FS9 version. There were so many of those! Another company, unlikely but possible. But probably just someone doing it for fun, get some people annoyed and mad. Sucks for the people who want to buy it tonight/today. Another delay for what will be a fantastic product.

The brakes work really well with FSUIPC! You have to read the manual 1500 times to work out why...

Apart from that, it seems to be good. I'm not really very smart with the B737-800, but I've got it up and going with a plan in the FMC going between Sydney and Melbourne with Virgin Australia's VH-YFC (Bondi Beach).

It's a bit different to a B747-400, that's for sure.

Edit: No, it's not going so well - the VNAV is only going to do 8000ft... Probably done something wrong.

Edit 2: now it's working well.  Smile

Thats great, The PMDG NGX Forum at avsim is going crazy right now. I knew it would be going insane but I also did not expect so many problems. But I guess I should have seeing how many people bought it in just one day. I am glad I will have some time for PMDG to fix anything else etc.. Seems as though some of the problems are with older computers hopefully mine should do well with it. It runs the 744 perfectly so a bit less FPS is fine with me, an i7-930 with an 5870, 6GB memory.

I see some people hating themselves for buying the NGX with things like intel duos and 4 year old machines. So just a warning you really want to have at least an i5 and it seems that Windows 7 64bit is a must.

Is anyone else that is running Win 7 32bit seriously considering switching over to 64 bit just for this A/C? I know I am....

I switched to 64 bit for the PMDG 747 as I experienced panel freezing issues on approach and had to alt-tab to desktop to "reset" the panel which freezes once again a few seconds later. Upgraded to 64 bit and nothing else happened.   I'd recommend upgrading to 64 bit for more memory.

WOW! The PMDG 737ngx have only been out for just about 10 Days, yet I have read on several forums that it have already been cracked and it should work like a charm! I'm the happy owner/pilot of a legal version, but PMDG said that they would make it harder for hackers to Crack the 737! But yet i haven't read anything about the 747-400X working correct! Sad that someone don't wish to contribute to the great products from PMDG!

I really love that the 737 has been released, 'cause now they will focus on the 777 and the not yet confirmed 787!

I am considering purchasing both of these products, what is this problem with the 747-400X you are talking about?

I have bought both the 747X and the 737NGX - Everything is fine there, and will highly recommend both of them, but if you only buy one, go for the 737, it's by far the best of those two add-ons!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-
THIS PART IS ABOUT THE CRACKED VERSIONS OF THE 747 and 737!
-.-.-.-.-.-.-
What i stated was that PMDG have used a lot of time making the 737NGX "Not-crackable" but it was easier for the Hackers to crack the 737 than the 747 (in which the cracked(stolen) version didn't function 100% correct, as the 737 is!

The word "not-crackable" shouldn't even exist. In these days, any software can be cracked, and any website hacked (just think of Sony or the Pentagon). Therefore I can't really comprehend why a company would focus intensively on protecting their software, as the mechanisms used often negatively affect legit customers more than they prevent unlawful use.
