I'll do some flying later this week, and post a few shots.

Unfortunately, due to my computer acting up, I'm only able to snap pictures with my phone. Every option I use for a screenshot results in a black screen in MS paint.

I'll live vicariously through here though.

Have you tried hitting the "V" key to take pics? I was looking up your problem and saw that people often get black screens when they hit "Print screen."

Try investigating the CTD before redoing a flight. Might be a scenery issue that will come up every time.

As others said, the trick is good aircraft, good scenery. I use some OrbX scenery for Australia. The other good thing is a fix I found that sorts out a lot of the default Microsoft DX10 glitches, especially the one where taxi instruction arrows wouldn't appear.

More of a problem is the update I installed for the PMDG 777-200/LR and the 777-300/ER. Now those updates are done, the thing crawls along in the VC with 6.3fps. I mean really, it used to be 30fps and smooth before that.. My computer is a Xeon powered Mac Pro with a fairly good graphics card, it isn't some slug of a machine. I can't see the reason why. The taxi-cameras are not installed on it (not in panel.cfg), so I cannot work out the slowness.

So instead of a B777 (or a slow flying B737) I used a Concorde for YMML-YSSY:

Thats the conclusion I've come to but all I got was a message saying it had crashed, no hints as to where the problem was lying.

I tried the same flight in a different AC and it did the same.

I'm thinking it could be a problem with the scenery at EDDF as thats the only additional scenery installed for Germany.

Flying a fictional flight, QF7771 - EGLL-YSSY non stop with B777-200/LR - will arrive with 11.9T of fuel left over:

http://reheatimages.smugmug.com/photos/i-r6bCZ57/0/XL/i-r6bCZ57-XL.jpg
http://reheatimages.smugmug.com/photos/i-n66TZzp/0/XL/i-n66TZzp-XL.jpg

http://reheatimages.smugmug.com/photos/i-b5ccpbD/0/XL/i-b5ccpbD-XL.jpg

Still going, nearing the coast of Western Australia. I noticed an error on the flight plan, so I merged a couple of legs and now it quite happily suggests 11.9T of fuel on arrival at Sydney.

Just a quick shot today. I found a WN livery for the Avro RJ70, and here she is lifting off out of DFW. A nice livery on the "wrong" airplane, flying out of the "wrong" Dallas...makes sense right?

LOL.....In my FSX, I played God by closing Love Field and moving flights to DFW. The WN flights are operating out of half of Terminal B in the FSDreamTeam DFW scenery. Much better utilization of flights there IMO.

Hi, the app is Lido/iRouteManual, available from the app store here:
https://itunes.apple.com/de/app/lido-iroutemanual-aeronautical/id413078249?mt=8

Additionally I have collected a huge amount of Jeppesen plates and have quite a few that are bascially actual Navtech charts. AI traffic is all freeware found in the Avsim library, most of them in the form of a complete package, like WoAI.

I must say that that Etihad's livery is absolutely stunning! What model aircraft you have there, is it PMDG 777-200? I want that livery in my collection!

I haven't taken screenshots in forever! Noticed this thread the other day and decided it was time to get back into it.

Here's a flight I did for Silver Airways in the Saab 340. I believe it was Fort Lauderdale to Tampa and up to Pensacola.

Holy smokes, man (literally, in the case of the 737 LOL)!! Those are some awesome screen shots! I've been pretty busy recently, hopefully I'll have some time to fly soon.

Just got my new gaming laptop last week. I am still busy setting up my sim and cannot wait to fly again. However I keep on forgetting to go out and buy a joystick. But I am still setting up my AI and installing scenery,

Quoting cpd (Reply 72):

LOVE it. Guessing that's the PMDG 77L? I wish they'd paint that scheme on something today!

That first shot has super impressive ground scenery--what is it and where do I get it?

Quoting granite (Reply 44):

Good god man. What are the specs on your machine?? You can't possibly have it look that good and get frame rates above 20. Tell us your secrets.

Impressive screenshots guys.

I've not posted anything on these threads in a long while. I spend most of my time working fixing the darn things instead, so stepping into the virtual world can be a rarity at times unfortunately.

However, here's a quick shot after arrival in MAN just as the sun sets. Plus some of my old favourites thereafter.

And what are your system specs? Last I tried building an FSX rig, I spent almost three grand and ended up with frame rates I wasn't about to fly with.

Latest shots taken as Korean Air Cargo 257 Anchorage - New York JFK in the 747-400F.
It is so nice to finally have scenery for Anchorage!

Forgot to add, steady 25-30+ frame rates in any weather conditions or scenery density.

It is PMDG 777L, the colour scheme is one I painted. I haven't got any website or hosting to put it online, or I'd share it.

Quoting airbalticfan (Reply 84):
I must say that that Etihad's livery is absolutely stunning! What model aircraft you have there, is it PMDG 777-200? I want that livery in my collection!

As above. I'd share it with you if I had an easy way to do so. It was one I painted. I saw that colour scheme that somebody designed - I think it was fictional and they'd just done it as some sort of project. So I thought I'd give it a go to see if I could make it in FSX. Took a lot more work than I expected.

I've also got some of the artwork for the original 9M-MRD B-777, I could transfer that to the PMDG 777L too, but it'll take a lot of work, and I'm not sure it'd be right to do so after the MH17 tragedy.

Thank you for your reply, it is very much appreciated.
If I could suggest you, there is a website www.box.com , where you can create an account charge free and upload any repaint folders if you would be willing to do so. Then you can share the links to those folders and community members would be able to download your excellent repaints. Just a thought.
Anyhow, that Etihad's livery is a masterpiece! Would love to have it!
