As others said, the trick is good aircraft, good scenery. I use some OrbX scenery for Australia. The other good thing is a fix I found that sorts out a lot of the default Microsoft DX10 glitches, especially the one where taxi instruction arrows wouldn't appear.
More of a problem is the update I installed for the PMDG 777-200/LR and the 777-300/ER. Now those updates are done, the thing crawls along in the
VC with 6.3fps. I mean really, it used to be 30fps and smooth before that.. My computer is a Xeon powered Mac Pro with a fairly good graphics card, it isn't some slug of a machine. I can't see the reason why. The taxi-cameras are not installed on it (not in panel.cfg), so I cannot work out the slowness.
