2016 Screenshots

Yesterday morning I got home from my Christmas trip to the US and what better way to combat jetlag and trying to stay awake as late as possible into the evening, well, by doing some FSX flying since the 14 hours in the real thing was not enough for me. I took the default Lear 45 up for a spin between Gold Coast and Cairns. As usual here is a mix of my plane and AI shots.

Nice pics. JQ 788 looks nice, is it from Ultimate Traffic Team?

I want to get back into flying this weekend. I've mostly been perfecting this one airport in ADE and adding new AI liveries (I love Flying Carpet 75!)

Thanks, yes that is the UTT B788. I cannot wait for a B789 to come out, UTT was working on one and I think the model has been handed over to another modeler to complete. Also just recently FSPainter announced they were working on a B789 as well (they just released an A359 too).

I've been doing plenty of simming over Christmas break as well...trying to fit more in over the next few days before I head back!  

Recently I've started to get into creating new liveries (mostly revising and customizing existing ones- haven't tried anything from scratch yet), so I've taken some AI MD-80 liveries and adapted them into Delta retro jets, inspired by Kyle Meeks' (aka f18raider) work:

I was on a Delta MD-88 after Christmas when I was in the US, wouldn't have minded seeing one like yours in real life. That reminds me, I have some bad cellphone pics I need to add to my flightlog/history for my US flights.

Someone finally did Sydney Airport some justice in Flight Simulator! Flytampa Sydney is superb.   Only missing the little silver Nissan parked at the tower mound or the beach.

The 737 I painted myself, didn't realise someone had done it already. I may have to do Retro Roo II.

Well it was a nice cool afternoon in Sydney, even cooler in Alice Springs as you will see in the first screenshot, So I took up a little Cessna and flew from Alice Spring to Ayers Rock.

I have not flown into SYD in a while, it's been so long that version 1.2 was released. I have about 600 pics to sort through from my last visit to the beach a few weekends ago.

I believe Camsim has a 789 already, do you know how it is? And I will have to look into the FSPainter A359.

I am not sure on the Camsim model. For now I am using the TDS 789 as an AI model. I haven't seen any negative performance of it. I am slowly working my way across Australia and should see the NZ 789 there. Before Perth, I'm heading to Broome.
