Nope, pretty happy with my mark III. Possibly for those 41 af points at F8, but my finances will not allow for a 5-600mm f4 anyway

Specifications-wise it's not that far ahead of the Mk3. The real test will be dynamic range and overall image quality (including ISO performance). We'll have to wait a few weeks for the camera to start shipping before we can get honest and non-sponsored reviews.

I don't think 5D3 will drop in price significantly with launch of 5D4, I think it's already at the level Canon think is appropriate for old model still in production (look at the stock price of 5D2 now).

There's no doubt that with high contrast photography, which aviation photography often tends to be, dynamic range is an issue. I think the MkIV will move the game forward insofar as this is concerned, but not enough for me to replace my MkIII
