Resizing and DPI

Mon Dec 24, 2018 1:22 pm

Please could someone share the process flow for saving images with 72 dpi in PS? I tend to go for 200 dpi as it automatically resizes to 1200 by 800 but alot of photographers manage dpi of 72 with greater quality. Something is going wrong! So can the experts explain all?

Since you're talking about dpi I assume you're printing. Dpi is meaningless for digitally-displayed images.
If you're resizing images for printing, switch from pixels to inches, change the dimensions to the size you want to print at, and change the dpi to the best resolution which your printer can use. Any up/downsampling of the image that results from this is best done in Photoshop rather than by the printer.
